Here at Snell Buick GMC, we have customers come to us all the time with lots of questions, and we pride ourselves on providing honest and prompt answers to help you understand what you’re looking for. At the same time, we think it’s also important to ask you questions as we work to figure out which vehicle is right for you. As your GMC dealer near New Ulm, we will not rest until we help you find the perfect vehicle; with so many great options in the GMC lineup, however, it can take some work to figure out which one is perfect. That’s why we’ll ask you questions like this and work hard to determine if the GMC Acadia is the perfect SUV with everything you’ve been looking for.
How Much Room Do You Need Inside?
This is one of the first questions we like to start with when trying to help you figure out which vehicle is right for you. The GMC lineup has a number of great vehicles available, including some remarkable SUVs; what sets them apart from each other largely comes down to their sizes. If you’re looking for something with room inside for up to eight people to all be comfortable in, then the Acadia is a great choice. The GMC Acadia is a three-row SUV that gives you plenty of room inside for the people in your life.

That being said, there are other SUVs offered by GMC that are incredibly fun to drive around New Ulm. The GMC Terrain is a compact SUV with two rows of seating inside, which makes it a great fit if you only need to have up to five people come along with you each day. On the other hand, the Yukon is a full-size SUV with three rows inside, just like the Acadia, which means it could be a great fit if you’re looking for a larger, more spacious SUV. In fact, there’s even a Yukon XL model available if you want the biggest SUV that GMC makes, giving you an incredibly spacious ride for getting around New Ulm each day.
What Kind of Performance Are You Looking For?
There are two main elements we’re talking about when it comes to performance with the Acadia and the rest of the GMC lineup: power and fuel efficiency. The 2025 GMC Acadia has a single engine available, which makes it pretty easy to decide if it’s right for you. This is a 2.5L turbocharged engine that delivers 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque, which is plenty of power for a three-row SUV like this. You can choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, which is great, though we prefer the control and handling that all-wheel drive delivers.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the Acadia is surprisingly economical, given its size, making it a great choice for a family SUV. If you go with a front-wheel drive model, then the 2025 Acadia gets an EPA-estimated 20 MPG in the city, 27 MPG on the highway, and 23 MPG combined. Going with all-wheel drive reduces those numbers to 19 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. By comparison, the full-size 2025 GMC Yukon has an available 6.2L V8 engine that delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, which makes it incredible to drive. However, with an estimated 15 MPG in the city, 20 MPG on the highway, and 17 MPG combined, the Yukon is not an ideal choice if you want great gas mileage.
Amazing SUVs for Driving Around New Ulm
It’s easy to see that the GMC Acadia has a lot to offer, which is why so many people go for it each year when looking for a new (or used) SUV. Figuring out if it’s the right option for you isn’t always easy, however, and generally comes down to what you need from your next ride. The smaller GMC Terrain is great for individuals, couples, and small families, while the larger Yukon and Yukon XL are ideal if you need a lot of room and power from your SUV. This means the 2025 Acadia hits that “just right” spot between the other models, giving you three rows inside for up to eight passengers, plus 97.5 cu.ft. of total cargo volume behind the front seats, while ensuring you have a great time on the road each day. If you’re still not sure whether it’s the right SUV for you, then we’re here at Snell Buick GMC to help you answer all of these questions and make sure you find something you’ll love driving.
